What are the types of solar PV systems?
Photovoltaic power generation is based on the principle of photovoltaic effect, the use of solar cells to convert solar energy directly into electrical energy. Solar photovoltaic system consists of solar panels (modules), controllers and inverters of three major components, they are mainly composed of electronic components, does not involve mechanical parts, so the photovoltaic power generation equipment is extremely refined, reliable and stable long life, installation and maintenance is simple. What are the types of solar PV power generation systems? Solar photovoltaic power generation system is divided into off-grid photovoltaic power generation system, grid-connected photovoltaic power generation system and distributed photovoltaic power generation system.
1、Off-grid solar PV system

Off-grid solar photovoltaic systems are mainly composed of solar modules, controllers, batteries, if you want to supply power to AC loads, you also need to configure the AC inverter.

2、Grid-connected solar PV system

Grid-connected photovoltaic power generation system is the solar module generated by the DC power through the grid inverter converted to meet the requirements of the utility grid AC power directly into the public power grid. Grid-connected power generation system has a centralized large-scale grid-connected power station is generally a national power station, the main feature is that the power generated by the energy delivered directly to the power grid, by the grid unified deployment to the user power supply. However, this kind of power station investment, long construction period, covers a large area, the development is more difficult. The decentralized small-scale grid-connected power generation system, especially the photovoltaic building integration power generation system, due to the advantages of small investment, fast construction, small footprint, strong policy support, etc., is the mainstream of grid-connected power generation.

3、Distributed solar photovoltaic system

Distributed photovoltaic power generation system, also known as decentralized power generation or distributed energy supply, refers to the configuration of smaller photovoltaic power supply system at the user site or close to the site of electricity consumption, in order to meet the needs of specific users, support the economic operation of the existing distribution network, or to meet the requirements of these two aspects at the same time.

The basic equipment of a distributed solar PV system includes PV modules, PV square array mounts, DC convergence boxes, DC distribution cabinets, grid-connected inverters, AC distribution cabinets, and other equipment, in addition to power supply system monitoring devices and environmental monitoring devices. Its mode of operation is in the conditions of solar radiation, the photovoltaic power generation system of the solar array of solar modules will be converted to solar energy output, through the DC convergence box centralized into the DC power distribution cabinet, by the grid-connected inverter inverter into alternating current to supply the building's own loads, excess or insufficient power by connecting to the power grid to regulate.

According to the needs of electricity consumption, the overall performance of the solar photovoltaic system is personalized to achieve the optimal energy saving effect and environmental protection effect. Conventional fuel sources are diminishing day by day, while at the same time about 2 billion people worldwide are without access to a regular energy supply. At this time, people look to renewable energy, hoping that renewable energy can change the energy structure of mankind, to maintain long-term sustainable development.
